Having a hard time being with husband’s family so I play a lot of online poker
I would always bring my laptop when I go to my in laws place because its so hard to make myself comfortable with them. They’re okay with me but I can’t just trust them too much. I have my reasons. I feel that they show that I’m part of the family but when problems arise it’s like I’m thrown out of the bus. It’s that crazy. What’s much harder than this is that my husband is not around to be there for me. He’s thousands of miles away from me. It’s been really hard but I just have to deal with it. I’ve been finding ways to keep myself busy when I’m with his family. I would read books or even watch the television but sometimes there won’t be good shows to watch or I haven’t bought a new book. I always miss my husband and I wish he didn’t have to leave because he’s my only friend here. Then one time I tried playing online poker. I enjoyed it a lot! I tried playing 7 card stud poker and Omaha poker. I enjoyed both games! I now bring my laptop everywhere I go. It’s a really good alternative for me because I’ve been finding things to get busy about. I would win games that’s why it’s more interesting for me. Adjusting to a new family is definitely the hardest. Sometimes I would think that I’m already a depressed person. My friends are away from me and my family is in a different country. It’s like everything is working against me that’s why finding ways to keep myself away from all these sad thoughts is the best thing.
